Preventing Exposure

Many of the steps you might take to prevent exposure may seem like common sense, but some materials may be hazardous in ways that you would not expect. Without correctly understanding the risks and precautions that need to be taken it is impossible to truly be safe. 

Thankfully, WHMIS provides us with an easy-to-understand process that will help keep you safe when working with hazardous chemicals. In the next two chapters, you will learn about the two types of labels you may find in the workplace and how they can help you prevent any accidental exposures.
