Workplace Labels serve essentially the same purpose as a Supplier Label; however, they are only required in a few specific circumstances.
A hazardous product is made and used in the workplace
A hazardous product is decanted (transferred or poured) into another container
The Supplier label became lost or illegible
A common example you may find in your workplace is that chemicals are poured out of a large bottle and into something smaller like a spray bottle. Once the chemicals are moved we need to create a Workplace Label so that you can identify and safely handle them.
The label requirements are similar but not as complicated as a Supplier Label. Let's have a look at what is required.
